Job Description

Lumos offers clean and affordable solar power to a market of 1.3 billion potential customers who live off the electricity grid.Lumos enables people to replace hazardous and expensive kerosene generators and lanterns with modern solar electricity that can power lights, cellphones, fans, computers, TVs and other small electronic devices (all at once, every day). By offering Solar Power as a Service, Lumos offers homes and small businesses a simple and affordable way to pay for electricity in small installments using their mobile phones

The Job :Training Officer

Job Profile

Develop training content:

as per HQ guidelines
as per identified needs of various teams
Develop & regularly update content for the Learning Management System
Produce and distribute training resources within authorized budget

Facilitate trainings (classroom, practical, on-the-job and learning systems), workshops, conferences, demonstrations
Use of diverse tools for content delivery; presentations, multimedia visual aids index
Plan the implementation and facilitation of learning activities and events

Actively involved in process of identifying individual and organizational training needs through appraisals and meetings with managers
Monitor and review the progress of trainees through use of assessment tools like questionnaires, surveys etc.
Keep up to date training records of all learning interventions

Effective relationship management with all contact across all functions within the company and external partners
Educational Qualifications & Functional / Technical Skills
Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Psychology or Business related fields is essential
Formal training qualification is desirable

Job Qualifications

1-3 years’ experience in a technical/soft skills training delivery role is essential
Computer literacy and Good working knowledge of MS Office is essential
Experience of working within a customer service environment is desirable
Experience of designing, delivering and maintaining training materials is desirable
Other requirements (Behavioral etc.)

Role requires frequent travels to train employees & partners in other States across the country; willingness to relocate if required, is necessary
Interpersonal skills that enable you to work with people at all levels, motivate others and change people’s attitudes when necessary
Excellent written, spoken and relational communication skills that allow you to inform and advise others clearly
Problem-solving and Negotiation skills
Initiative and the ability to offer new ideas
Organizational and planning skills to manage your time and to meet deadlines and objectives
Good time-keeping skills to enable you to effectively manage training schedules
Personal commitment to improving own knowledge and skills
